XC2 Monitor Hub

The XC2 Monitor Hub is a real-time sensing, analysis, and data acquisition system with wireless sensor support. The XC2 Hub includes a built-in GPS, +- 3G, 50Hz, three axis accelerometer, Polar heart monitor receiver, 900MHz radio and mini-SD data recorder. It records data from up to three external three-axis wireless accelerometers units.

XC2 Hub Sensors

  • A low-noise +- 3G three-axis accelerometer — 8-bit resolution, 50Hz sampling rate (sampling rate can be adjusted up to 500Hz)
  • Receiver for Polar heart monitor chest strap
  • Integrated Trimble GPS (1Hz, DGPS capable)

XC2 Hub Radio

  • AWare protocol 900MHz/886MHz radio — up to 100' or 33m range.

XC2 Hub Storage

The XC2 Monitor Hub stores data in binary format on removable mini-SD media. AWare provides Windows software to play back, visualize, and convert this binary data to CSV form suitable for import into spreadsheets and sports training tools.

XC2 Hub Physical Properties

The XC2 Monitor hub uses a high-strength, waterproof plastic enclosure to ensure maximal durability and waterproof operation.

XC2 Hub Power

The XC2 Monitor Hub power system uses a 750mAh 7.4V lithium-ion battery with built-in battery charger and battery overcurrent protection. The use of lithium-ion allows efficient battery discharge over a wide -20C to +60C temperature range. Depending on battery temperature, the XC2 Hub can run continuously for between 18 and 24 hours on a full charge.

XC2 Wireless Accelerometers

The XC2 Hub is designed to work with up to three XC2 Wireless Accelerometers. These units have the same three-axis accelerometer as the XC2 Monitor Hub, streaming data continuously to the Monitor Hub for recording or display.

XC2 Wireless Accelerometer Power

The XC2 Wireless Accelerometer units use lithium-chemistry coin cell batteries. These batteries power an XC2 Wireless Accelerometer for up to fourteen days of continuous operation.
