- Start music playing in the iPod application and return to home screen (optional)
- Launch the StepTrakLite application by tapping its icon.
- When launched, the step counter is already active and ready to go.
- Take a few steps to generate some data.
- Now run a few steps. Note how data is accruing in different categories.
- Press "Reset" to clear the recent step count.
StepTrakLite™: Twitter
- You can now Twitter your current step counts and activity data. Just select the Tweet tab.
- A simple, pre-formatted message is provided. You can select one of three different types using the segmented controller at the bottom.
- A personalized message can also be appended. Challenge your friends! Taunt your enemies!
- When you are done, just click the "Send" button to transmit.
- You can now log your data online using MapMyWalk.com. Just select the Log tab.
- A summary of the information to be transmitted is shown at the bottom of the screen.
- To change how the activity type is determined, use the segmented controllers at the top of the screen.
- When you are done, click "Send" to transmit your data. You will probably want to reset your counts afterward.
- If, after some use, you are not satisfied with the step counting or classification, you can try adjusting the settings.
- If you are seeing too many or too few steps, try adjusting the Count Sensitivity slider.
- If you are seeing running steps when you are walking (or vice-versa), try adjusting the Classification Bias slider.
- The two sliders are independent, so each setting can be adjusted and tested without affecting the other.
- Before using the Twitter functionality, make sure you input your username and password.
