John Brooks III

John Brooks III is a co-founder of Prism Venture Partners and has played a key role in the firm’s development over the years. He currently sits on the boards of OptiScan Biomedical, Confirma, MedManage Systems and Uptake Medical.

John was formerly General Manager at Pfizer/Valleylab where he developed and executed a minimally invasive surgery strategy. With Pfizer/Strato, he led the growth of a rapidly evolving vascular access medical device business.

John has co-founded three life sciences companies – Songbird Hearing, Locus Pharmaceuticals and Insulet.

John holds an M.S. in Business and a B.B.A. cum laude from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner.
